Today we have the release of the finest wine of the Côtes de Castillon appellation - Domaine de l'A. This is the home property of superstar wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt who is the man behind many of Bordeaux's top wines. As Jancis Robinson says, this is a wine that punches way above its weight and is easily as good as many St Emilions at much higher prices. This wine has a tiny production and availability is very limited. £225 per case.

"Very dark. Headily scented and punches way above its weight. Dry oak afterwards but if this is a decent price, what is not to like? Just so much better than most Côtes wines. Well up to the standard of most St-Émilions. 16.5" Jancis Robinson

"Blueberry and violets on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a medium finish. Lovely raciness and balance to this. A little closed, but classy. 90-93" James Suckling, Wine Spectator.

Also released is the Barsac Chateau Doisy Daene. at £310. There is also the release of the special cuvée Doisy Daene L'Extravagant which will be produced in half bottles only. The price is £3300 per 24 halves and customers may order cases of 12 halves at £1650.
