"Sauternes week" now sees two of the greatest names of the region joining in. Chateau Rieussec is released at the same price as their great rival Suduiraut - £640 per dozen and Chateau Coutet is out at £550. Just Nairac, Raymond Lafon, Climens and Yquem to go now.

Both Rieussec and Coutet receive huge scores and high praise from all the critics but unfortunately both are just above our estimated prices. Rieussec is regarded by Neal Martin in The Wine Advocate as the best since the 2001 (which now sells at £900 per case) and the Coutet is compared to the legendary 1962 vintage. It receives the same score as the 2009 Yquem.
