Tasting Notes

Candied apricot and peach, honey, peach blossom, brown sugar and distinctly roasted, Tokaji-like botrytis notes on the nose. Rich but very closed and not yet revealing its personality. But nicely ripe and thick, with sound acidity and some interesting earthy low tones. Finishes with a repeating note of brown sugar on the oaky but smooth finish. Tasted next to the Sigalas-Rabaud, this very promising young wine seemed a bit less sharply defined.
