Tasting Notes

Magnum served in Beaune just after the La Fleur Pétrus 2002, and very much livelier than the first double magnum of the latter. This was made when Belair was Belair rather than Belair Monange, and of course in that famous heatwave vintage. Dense, sweet, with strong lead-pencil flavours. Seems as its peak now but there is no shortage of sweet fruit.
