Tasting Notes

Produced from 100% Syrah, the 2010 Le Sol is deep garnet-purple in color with aromas of warm black berries, black cherries and black pepper plus hints of lavender, Provence herbs, cloves, and star anise. Medium bodied with just enough fruit in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of rounded tannins, crisp acidity and a long peppery finish. Approachable now, it should keep to 2019+.

Very complex and less lush than 2009. But less is more for me. Bacon, spice, and dark berries such as blueberries. Full body, with lovely fruit and a flavorful finish. Yet remains subtle and gorgeous. Drink now or hold.
