Vosne Romanee 1er Cru, Domaine de la Romanée Conti 2009

A classic Vosne nose that is at once very spicy and very pinot offers up ripe yet very fresh red and black berry liqueur aromas. There is fine detail and excellent precision to the seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that possess outstanding depth and seriously good length as well. This may well be the best vintage for this wine ever made, at least since modern day production of it was recommenced in 1999. There is so much sap that it will be approachable young but age well too.
