Tasting Notes

(from a ~6 ha parcel). This is notably more elegant than it usually is with its grudging aromas of white flower, citrus zest, iodine and algae. The muscular and intensely citrus-infused broad-shouldered flavors possess outstanding concentration and focused power before concluding in a bone dry and mineral-driven finish. This is a very big wine even by the outsized standards of the typical Bougros yet save for a slight touch of warmth it maintains near perfect balance. Note well that here too plenty of patience is in order. 93/2024+

Pale, green-tinged yellow. Delicate aromas of lime, fresh herbs and white pepper. At once large-scaled and gripping, displaying superb depth and vinosity to its flavors of lemon, lime and medicinal herbs, plus a hint of eucalyptus. This wonderfully suave, seamless wine spreads out on the back end to saturate the palate. From vines averaging 45 years of age, including a percentage planted by William Fevre's father in 1948 and 1949.
