Pernand Vergelesses, lle de Vergelesses, Domaine Chandon de Briailles 1999

Bright and lovely on the nose with the same elegant flavors but there is a good deal more structure here than in the Vergelesses and a finish that borders on the bitter. Hard to say how this wine will age though this wine has an excellent historical track record.
Note: a mix of vine ages though the oldest date from 1938

Healthy mid crimson. Low-key, slightly candy nose and a metallic note. Lots and lots of fruit underneath though definitely adolescent in the case of the pretty noticeable tannins.
