Tasting Notes

A soft, cedary, herbaceous, but pleasant, round, elegant style of wine, with berry and red currant fruit, and a smooth finish, the 1997 Potensac can be enjoyed over the next 2-4 years.

It is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and 18% Cabernet Franc. This wine displays a deep, nearly opaque purple color, sweet, mineeral-tinged, blackberry and cherry fruit in its aromatics and flavors, medium body, low acidity, and a plump, supple finish with gobs of glycerin and alcohol. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
