Tasting Notes

A light-bodied, pleasant, straightforward Talbot, the 1997 exhibits attractive cherry, black cherry, herb-tinged flavors. Consume this picnic-styled claret over the next 4-5 years.

It has a saturated purple color, and a sweet, earthy, leather, and cassis-scented nose. In the mouth, the wine is fat and opulent, with low acidity. The finish is all glycerin, alcohol, and juicy fruit. It may be almost too low in acidity, but it is drinking well and can be expected to do so for another decade.
