Tasting Notes

A sexy, open-knit style from the sandy soils of Dassault, the 2005 has a dark plum/garnet color, sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruit along with some licorice and spice, and low acidity. It is ripe, round, generous and quite seductive. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Drink 2015-2023.

Good medium red. Very ripe, smoky aromas of black cherry, roasted meat and marzipan: very 2005! Supple, sweet and broad; large-scaled and lush for a wine from this chateau if a tad chunky. Finishes with sweet, dusty tannins and a lingering note of chocolate.
