U.S.A.

As one might expect, the U.S.A. is a hugely diverse country from a wine making point-of-view. Undoubtedly the most important wine making area by volume and by value is that of California. Forget any preconceptions that you may have of over-blown Chardonnays and sickly sweet Cabernets. They do exist but they are now vastly outnumbered by balanced, complex and exceptionally well-made expressions of the classic varietals.

The U.S. is an extremely exciting wine-producing country and Farr Vintners has access to the most famous and cult producers. We also list the exciting up-and-comers, making predominantly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from cool climates that have more in common with their French counterparts than anything else.
