Some of the greatest wines of the 2016 vintage were released today.
Léoville Lascases has some amazing reviews! If you read what Matthew Jukes wrote you'll want to buy a case. It also has the maximum 98-100 from The Wine Advocate, 98-99 Suckling, 99 Decanter, 19 Jancis etc etc. The price is within our estimate at £2100. All pre-orders have been confirmed and we still have some small stocks remaining.
In Pomerol the highest scoring wine of the vintage in the Wine Advocate is L'Eglise Clinet. There are some great reviews from the other critics too. Considering that this is scored above Petrus, Le Pin and Lafleur it is no surprise that it is priced above our top estimate. The price is £2740 and we are currently allocating the wine to those who pre-ordered it. We may have a few cases left over when the allocation process has been completed. Please ask if you are interested in buying it. La Petite Eglise is available at £370.
Following the release of their neighbour, Montrose's second tranche, we now have the release of more Cos d'Estournel. With 98-100 points in the Wine Advocate, this is sure to sell quickly, especially as we have been able to average our cost prices of both tranches in order to offer it for sale at £1620 per dozen.
