There are lots of new releases today.

From Margaux we have Prieuré Lichine at £330 (only slightly down on 2016 and 2015) and du Tertre at £348 (which is the same price as the 2016).

In Pauillac the Rothschilds of Mouton have released Armailhac at £390 and Clerc Milon at £650.

Clos du Marquis in Saint Julien is now released at £426 - a very good wine but an ambitious price when when considers that the 2009 and 2010 vintages are widely available in the market at around £450

L'Evangile is a leading Pomerol property and is owned by the Rothschilds of Lafite. The 2017 vintage has received mixed reviews from the critics.  It seems optimistic of the owners to expect customers to buy this wine at £2100 when truly outstanding vintages such as 2016, 2010 and 2005 are readily available at the same price. Comparable mature vintages such as 1999 and 2006 are offered at around half the price and our advice is stock up on the delicious 2012 (an excellent vintage in Pomerol with a 94 point rating) at £960 per dozen or the 2014 (95 points) at £1020.
