En Primeur News: Friday, 12th April 2019
The first releases of this en primeur campaign are from "Vignobles K". Hong Kong owned and managed by Jean-Christophe Meyrou (previously of Le Gay and La Violette). The latest addition to their portfolio is Bellefont Belcier which is situated on the south facing slopes of Saint Emilion between Pavie and Le Tertre Roteboeuf. The price is £432 per dozen. Also in Saint Emilion is La Tour Saint Christophe which is near Troplong Mondot. This is a property that has made excellent wines in the last few years and received some big scores. The 2018 has a whopping 96/97 from James Suckling and is at £270 per dozen. A fair price for such a big rating. Finally we have the rare micro-cuvée L'Enclos Tourmaline from Pomerol which is made in the style of La Violette. There are a little over 300 cases produced and the price is £1236 per dozen. (97/98 Suckling)
