We are due a good summer and with this in mind we have selected three rosés for the list in 2022.  All of them will slide down very well - indeed possibly too well - in the sunshine.

Puech Haut Rosé

Puech Haut Argali Rosé remains one of our top-selling wines year-in, year out.  We think that the 2021 vintage has the edge on the 2020; this is an incredibly moreish wine that is very hard to beat.

This Provençal-style rosé from the south of France is a pale, dry wine that offers great value for money. Bursting with white strawberries, stone fruits and a hint of garrigue, it will offer beautiful drinking over the summer months.

Those looking for big bottles should be quick to snap up the small volumes of magnums and double magnums available that are perfect for celebrations and barbecues.

Very pale salmon pink colour. Fresh and fragrant with peach blossom, white strawberry and a hint of cherry on the nose. The palate shows more intensity than last year, with juicy stone fruit, citrus and fresh red berries coming through. Dry and vibrant in acidity, this is moreish with a lightly savoury tone on the finish. Another perfect sunshine wine to drink over the coming months.

Domaine de l'Isle Rosé

The postcard-perfect island of Porquerolles off the coast of Provence hosts a National Park planted with organic vineyards in idyllic locations for dry rosé. Chanel bought its flagship estate, Domaine de l'Ile, in 2019, and have worked hard to improve quality since. The result is hand-harvested, Domaine bottled, AC Côtes de Provence Rosé of the highest quality made by an exceptional team.

The 2021 vintage builds on the excellent work done here so far - it is the best vintage we have tasted here. The vineyards continue to be improved and 10 hectares of new vines are incorporated for the first time this year. Parcel selection has improved, too, resulting in an enticing and moreish, dry rosé with real power, purity and persistence. Elegant and chiselled, this is fantastic Provence rosé with a sense of place that will compete with any of the biggest names made in this style.

The new vintage of Porquerolles Rosé builds on the excellent work achieved since Chanel's takeover in 2019. A blend of five varieties - Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Tibouren. Volumes are down on last year as with almost everywhere in France. Bright, pale salmon colour in the glass. The nose layers peach blossom, white strawberry and garrigue otgether as fresh citrus blends with the savoury tones that add such an enticing layer to the aromas. The palate shows yuzu, quince and peach skin together with layers of citrus oil and more of those dried herbs. There is a deeper and richer mouthfeel than last year. Dry, with a zippy freshness in acidity that provides the cut against this extra power, it remains elegant and fresh, perfect for drinking over the next 12 months. A brilliant Provencal rosé that continues to go from strength to strength.
