The barest touch of wood frames deeper, richer if not necessarily more expressive black fruit aromas that are so ripe that there are hints of torrefaction. The broad, intense, tight flavors offer excellent depth of material and fine acid/fruit balance plus a finish that is vibrant and bright. This will require a few years to unwind as the finish is still youthfully austere. In a word, impressive.
