Mild reduction renders the nose difficult to evaluate other than to observe that the underlying fruit appears to be ripe. The lacy, even delicate flavors are classic Volnay with a lovely minerality on the delicious if slightly austere finish. This is textbook Mitans that will require the better part of a decade to soften its firm tannic spine.
