Tasting Notes

This property in the "Entre deux Mers" makes a very attractive claret from 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. It is aged in one year old small oak barrels for a year before bottling. The delicious 2003 has now sold out but we are delighted to have been able to purchase a large parcel of the 2006 vintage which is now mature but still has several years of life ahead. Before choosing Chateau Carignan as our "house claret" at Farr Vintners we tasted hundreds of other wines from Bordeaux at this price and this was our clear winner.
