The 2011 Saint Veran Terroir de Davaye is sourced from several parcels within the ambit of the village and sees a prudent 15% new oak, aged on the lees over a six-month period. It has a well-defined, quite minerally bouquet with delicate touches of apple blossom and fresh pear plus a hint of white peach emerging with further aeration. The palate is very well-balanced with judiciously used oak lending this roundness without denuding poise. The citris-led finish is focused and very fine.
