This is cut from the same cloth as the Clos de Vougeot with its austere, dense, brooding power and reserved, regal character that oozes refinement and class. The complexity of the black fruit and breadth of saturated, sappy flavors is awe inspiring and though I have had more powerful examples of Leroy Musigny, this is as fine and long as any and appears to have the potential to rival the incredible '99. Stupendous juice that will live for years.
