Tasting Notes

Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (4), December 2003

The totally mature 1985 Meyney exhibits a deep ruby color with some amber at the edge. The wine possesses a seductive nose of weedy black fruits intertwined with aromas of plums, tea, earth, and licorice. Sweet on the attack, this medium-bodied, deliciously fruity, round, silky-textured wine should continue to drink well for a decade. Anticipated maturity: Now-2006. Last tasted 9/97
