Two tastings at the end of 2004. In Nov04: A deep, rich blackberry nose laced with nori and soy. Superb definition. The palate is really beautiful with seamless tannins, slightly meaty black fruit and exquisite balance. Ripe blueberry and cassis on the finish. Rounded, plump but all kept in focus. A very impressive 2000. Needs 8 to 10 years. Then in Dec-04. Interesting: the nose is more reticent than the sample tasted back in October. Quite reserved and conservative. Left in the glass for 5-10 minutes, that pure blackberry begins to evolve. The palate has great poise, something that has been missing up until now. Full-bodied, very good definition and good grip. Plump, ripe slightly savory fruits. Very backward. Certainly the most assured Le Dome at this tasting. Great potential.(22/25)
