Gevrey Chambertin Corbeaux, Domaine Bachelet 2005

Tasting Notes

From vines planted in 1926 by Denis Bachelet's grandmother. Very tight on the nose with pure red berried fruits and a touch of cold black tea. The palate has obviously some way to go on the malo as there is a thread of apple throughout. But it has fine tannins, beautifully structured with great definition. Black cherries, a touch of plum and a little forest floor. An intellectual wine, sophisticated and elegant. Drinking 2012-2025. Tasted January 2007.
