Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (4), December 2003

The debut vintage, La Croix St.-Georges' 1999 is even better than I anticipated. It is an amazingly opaque purple-colored wine with extraordinary fat and richness, concentrated, jammy blackberry and cherry fruit, and liqueur-like intensity. The wine is multi-layered, extremely generous, and sumptuous on the palate, with a remarkable finish. It is a star of the vintage. Wow! Anticipated maturity: 2004-2020.
