Tasting Notes

25- and 35-year-old vines; the vines here have the same exposure as those in Bressandes but are a bit higher on the hill) Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Bressandes. Ripe aromas of plum, raspberry, chocolate and smoke, with a note of peach. Even sweeter than the Bressandes, with a sensual texture. But good underlying minerality gives this wine noteworthy cut and finesse. Nicely delineated owing to its sound acidity. Finishes quite firm, but with the tannins coming late.

Score: 92+Stephen Tanzer,, April 2005
