Gevrey Chambertin Clos Saint Jacques, Domaine Bruno Clair 2005

Tasting Notes

A wonderfully elegant, stylish and classy nose features very ripe red berry fruit, minerals, spices and a hint of Gevrey earth that dissolves into rich, sweet and graceful medium full and well muscled flavors of real drive and energy on the delineated and pure finish. I very much like this and there is simply another dimension here, even relative to the fantastic Cazetiers. Readers should note that this is a huge wine by the standards of a typical Clos St. Jacques and it will require ample time to realize its terrific potential.
