CDP Vieux Télégraphe, Vignobles Brunier Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe 1997

Tasting Notes

The 1997 Chateauneuf du Pape is an evolved, forward, richly fruity wine with medium body, and plenty of smoke, pepper, Allspice, black cherry and Provencal herb aromas. It is seductive, round, charming, and sexy. The wine reveals pepper and spicy aromas. Because of its fragility, Daniel Brunier intends to bottle the 1997 early to preserve its attractive level of fruit.

Fine aromas of aged Châteauneuf: undergrowth, olive, polished wood. Lovely freshness and so finely balanced with the ageing fruit flavours filling out the dry but fully resolved tannins. (JH)
Drink: 2004 - 2015
