Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Domaine Perrot-Minot 2008
A discreet application of wood highlights the intensely earthy and underbrush-suffused ripe dark berry aromas that display a subtle spiciness that precede the rich, intense and sculpted full-bodied flavors that culminate in a linear and youthfully austere finish that goes on and on. Like the Cham, this is a big '08 that is built to age for the medium to medium-long term so some patience will be required. An impressively harmonious effort.
