Bonnes Mares, Bouchard Père et Fils 2004

An earthy yet elegant nose combining red and blueberry fruit plus hints of violets and spice that complements the supple, sweet and imposingly complex flavors that are textured and possess a lovely inner mouth perfume, all wrapped in a sappy and firmly structured but long finish. Like the GE, this is not a blockbuster in style but rather a refined young Bonnes Mares, even by the usually elegant standards of this house.
