Tasting Notes

Wonderful aromas of flowers such as roses. Full-bodied, with firm and precise tannins. Fresh fruit, with a citrus undertone. Medium finish

James Suckling, Wine Spectator, March 2010

Very fresh and sappy nose. Sweet start but fresh and zesty. Chewy finish. Nice elegance and racy. Maybe not the longest lived wine. INAO decided to use Napoleonic system to identify parcels - soils quite different. Slightly green and sinewy on the finish. Date tasted 31st March 2010. Drink 2016-2026.

Violets leap out of the glass, a lovely fragrant nose. There are layers of fruit on the palate cassis tending to dominate but black cherry is very much in evidence, the freshness towards the back being bilberry inspired. The richness so well balanced by some freshness. Drink 2016-2028.

Derek Smedley MW, April 2010

Purple red, deep fleshy, almost voluptuous fruit with good length and grip at the end. Drink 2013-2018.
