Tasting Notes

A nuanced, cool and layered nose features red and black pinot fruit aromas with violet and rose notes as well as a slightly animale hint that introduce powerful, concentrated and somewhat sauvage flavors with even more depth if a touch less refinement, all wrapped in a sneaky long finish. This is an impeccably balanced and focused wine of controlled power and intense minerality. A qualitative choice though the respective personalities are quite distinct.

Good deep red. Wilder, more reduced aromas of black fruits and smoked meat. Rich, supple and stuffed with material; more tactile and powerful than the comparatively refined RSV, if a bit less high-pitched today. This is also more reduced, but there's plenty of energy here for mid-term aging.
