Tasting Notes

A highly spiced nose that is notably ripe but much fresher than that of the Beaux Monts features aromas of dark berry and plum that complement well the rich, supple and delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess well-integrated tannins on the complex, balanced and lingering finish. This is very Suchots in that there is a generosity to the velvety mid-palate yet this is a wine of admirable class and grace. (91-93)/2021+

Medium red. Captivating nose combines red raspberry, minerals, crushed stone, coffee and cocoa powder. Juicy and slightly high-toned on the palate; bit lean for this cuvee Fruitier than the Beaux Monts but the tannins seem tougher today. But finishes with sneaky length. I suspect this is better than it's showing today.
