A moderately deeply-pitched nose offers up notes of earth, underbrush and hints
of iron-infused earth to the ripe red berry liqueur nose. There is good detail and plenty of verve to the intense and quite firm
mineral-inflected flavors that possess a dusty mouth feel and good energy. This is structured without being hard though there is
presently a trace of dryness though this is likely exacerbated by the gas that is evident on the finish.
Palish medium red. Mute nose hints at cherry, mint and fresh herbs. Then silky and soft on the palate, with lovely inner-mouth perfume to the cherry, earth and saline flavors. A bigger wine than the nose suggests but not at all heavy. Finishes silky and long, with rather suave tannins. A very good showing.
