Tasting Notes

An earthy, serious and relatively deeply pitched nose speaks of game, dark berry fruit and underbrush
notes that also characterize the delicious, intense and quite serious medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent depth on
the firmly structured and mouth coating finish. This should mature into an excellent Corton with 12 to 15 years of cellar time
though at the same time, it will likely be approached after 7 to 8. 2021+

Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (42), May 2011

Bright full red. Aromas of red cherry, crushed stone and menthol. Sweet, intense and penetrating but a bit youthfully clenched, with flavors of medicinal cherry and caramel. Offers very good lift in the mouth. Firmly structured, persistent wine with a fine-grained texture. From 18-year-old vines; no saignee was carried out.
