Tasting Notes

(opened from personal storage). The still very fresh and quite youthful nose offers good complexity and bread to the still almost entirely primary dark berry fruit aromas. Similarly, the big, powerful, earthy and borderline rustic large-scaled flavors remain underpinned by firm but not hard tannins that are buffered by plenty of sappy extract and fine depth. While drinkable and enjoyable after 10 years of cellar time, for my taste this could still benefit from another 5 to 7 years of cellar time. In sum, this is lovely juice that could surprise to the upside. Tasted twice with consistent notes.
