Gevrey Chambertin Cazetiers, Domaine Armand Rousseau 2008

This is a little earthier and more herbaceous on the nose compared to the Lavaux but equally well defined with tart red fruit and an attractive mintiness coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with lace-like tannins, very pure and lifted, very feminine with sweet red cherries and wild strawberry laced with a little cassis towards the dainty but beautifully poised finish. Tasted November 2009.
