An equally ripe but more elegant nose of red pinot fruit, warm earth, subtle spice and hints of underbrush and Gevrey animale is picked up by big, rich, powerful and focused flavors that are supported by slightly rounder and less frank tannins on the deeper and longer but not necessarily more structured finish. Again, first rate and wonderfully long.
