Latricières Chambertin, Louis Jadot 2010
An elegant and distinctly cool and restrained nose features a pretty array of floral and stone notes on the wonderfully complex and layered red berry fruit and plum aromas. The same sense of refinement inculcates the intense and highly energetic medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a penetratingly mineral-driven and explosively long finish. The hallmark youthful austerity is present in spades and this enjoys one of the longest finishes of the entire range. In sum, this is most impressive in a decidedly understated fashion.
