Interestingly for two vineyards that abut one another, the aromatic profile here is completely different from that of the Charmes as it's more obviously animale and, somewhat contradictorily, less floral as well. The big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors are earthy and intensely mineral-driven while culminating in a detailed, precise and hugely long finish where the structural elements are almost completely hidden by the mouth coating extract. This too will require lots of cellar time.
