**Note: from vines planted in 1920 situated in a parcel that touches Chambertin**
This is also restrained to the point of being almost mute though it's clear that the dark berry liqueur nose is extremely dense and strikingly spicy. Like the Chambertin, the overtly muscular flavors are incredibly rich and concentrated as the mid-palate is opulent to the point of being almost viscous yet this is not at all ponderous or lacking in detail though this does take the notion of serious to another level, particularly on the incredibly firm and built to age for decades finish. In short, this is a beast but it's not rustic or over extracted. Do be prepared to be patient however as this is definitely not for early consumption. A 'wow' wine of breathtaking proportions.
