Tasting Notes

Here too there is a hint of sulfur but it's not enough to really affect the expressiveness of the honeysuckle, acacia blossom, pear and citrus peel suffused nose. The rich, generous and mouth coating flavors brim with dry extract that pushes the otherwise firm acid spine to the background on the complex, intense, linear and bone dry finish. Indeed this is unusually austere and restrained for Pucelles.

Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (47), June 2012

The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles is a big, bombastic wine. It possesses marvelous integrity and structure to balance some of the more overt qualities in the fruit. This is a hugely promising wine from Henri Boillot. Anticipated maturity: 2015+.
