Tasting Notes

This is also very floral with background aromas of lemon and lime plus hints of mineral reduction that accurately telegraphs the presence of an intense stoniness on the relatively broad-scaled, rich and muscular flavors that possess an abundance of dry extract. As is typically the case, this is the biggest and most complex wine among the various villages cuvées and the concentration and impeccable balance should allow the 2010 Tessons to amply reward up to a decade in the cellar. Moreover, villages level wines rarely attain this level of quality so if you should see it on offer, don't hesitate.

Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (47), June 2012

Very reticent nose dominated by citrus peel and stony minerality. Tightly wound and high-pitched, with penetrating acidity giving a steely spine to the mid-palate. Offers a compelling combination of silky texture and piquant energy. A great village wine with a knockout rising finish that's almost painful today. I would not be at all surprised if this wine eventually merited an even higher score.
