Tasting Notes

The finest Monbrison produced in many years, the ruby/purple-colored, medium-bodied 2000 exhibits sweet floral, mineral, and currant notes, subtle toasty oak, ripe tannin, and a long, persistent finish. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2014.

Really good. Blackberry and mineral aromas. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and compacted fruit on the finish. Best Monbrison in years. Best after 2008. 5,280 cases made. (JS)
