A pretty and lively white with sliced-lemon, lime and honey character. Full body, bright acidity and a long finish. Tight and holding back its true excellence. Opulent. Three quarters are sauvingon blanc and one quarter is sémllion. Better in 2017.
Made from 77% Sauvignon Blanc and 23% Semillon, this terrific effort was cropped at 25 hectoliters per hectare. From the same vineyard in the northern Medoc as their Goulee, it exhibits plenty of crushed rock, honeyed grapefruit and tangerine oil characteristics in a medium-bodied, zesty, vibrant, exuberant style. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
Lovely stuff! Very green fruited and appetising. Succulent fruit. So direct and beautifully balanced. Really fine yet not remotely skinny. Saline and super appetising.
Sourced from the same terroir in the northern Médoc as Gouleé (but priced three times
higher), Cos' white has got better with every vintage since its 2005 launch. Crunchy, complex
and classy with flavours of struck match and grapefruit pith and a long, stylish finish.
Drink: 2013-20
