(Geltz-Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Riesling Spätlese Auction) AP: 02 12. Despite being made from clean grapes, this offers a delicately vanilla and honey touch as well as the telltale ripe expression of Rausch, with pear, quince but also fresh green herbs, spices and smoke. The wine is quite powerful on the palate but remains elegant with even a touch of raciness coming through in the finish. This gorgeous Auslese-styled wine should age gracefully for many years to come. 2017-2041
