Chapelle Chambertin, Domaine Perrot-Minot 2011

Tasting Notes

Strong reduction. This brooding and powerful effort is much more backward and primary than the Charmes with its overtly muscular and stony broad-shouldered flavors that possess plenty of mid-palate stuffing. The supporting tannins are very firm though not hard or aggressive and this adds to the present austerity on the otherwise ripe, long, well-balanced and palate staining finish. Impressive.
