Nuits St Georges les Vaucrains, Domaine Robert Chevillon 2011

Tasting Notes

**Note: from a 1.5 ha parcel**
This is also very reserved, indeed to the point where the nose is borderline taciturn and like the Les St. Georges, the nose required considerable swirling to reveal the ripe and intensely earthy nose of animale inflected dark berry fruit. The concentrated, powerful and muscular broad-shouldered flavors ooze with an abundance of dry extract that actually causes the very firm tannins to appear more civilized than they really are. Despite the reserve of the nose the finish is explosive and the length is simply incredible. This isn't as refined as the Les Cailles or the Les St. Georges but the length here is phenomenal.
