Echézeaux, Domaine d'Eugénie 2012

Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .55 ha parcel in En Orveaux with vines planted in 1924 and 1979; vinified with 33% whole clusters**
There is just enough wood present to notice but not so much that it impedes an appreciation of the elegant and admirably pure aromas of floral, spice, plum and red and black currant. There is excellent richness and volume to the suave and round medium weight flavors that brim with dry extract that imparts a seductive texture to the punchy and utterly delicious finale. Though presently quite firmly structured I suspect that this too will be approachable young with only a few years of bottle age yet be capable of rewarding more than a decade of cellar time.
