Tasting Notes

An intensely perfumed and very pure nose of cool, airy and ultra-elegant red pinot fruit lightly tinged with stone and a hint of the sauvage is also trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The supple, round and vibrant flavors also possess terrific delineation and like the Petite Chapelle, this is built on its minerality that really comes up on the long and bone dry (but not astringent) finish. This is terrific though note that the structure is sufficiently firm that it will require all of a decade's worth of cellaring to fully mature.
